Reviews:

To begin with, Barbara has impeccable taste.  However, there are several qualities that I believe distinguish Barbara from many other professionals in her field:

- Barbara is a great listener.  She proposes several options for various areas and listens to what we like and don’t like. If none of the options work for us, she has no issues going back to the drawing board and proposing something else based on what she heard. My husband and I have different tastes, and she is able to please both of us with her choices.

- Barbara is incredibly well organized.  I’m addition to being a great designer, she is a spectacular project manager (a skill that I think many decorators lack and that is key to getting a project done).  Barbara takes care of every aspect of a project, supervises contractors and deliveries, stays on top of everything and makes sure everything stays on time. She also gives honest and realistic expectations on timing. Last summer she finished our large apartment (from scratch) including significant cosmetic renovations and buying all furniture and decorations in under 4 months.  Most people I know wait 6-12 months for similar projects.

- Barbara is incredibly accessible. She always returns calls and emails promptly. She communicates clearly. I am very busy professionally and with family and had very little time to deal with the renovations.  Barbara made it easy by communicating clearly, being available, ordering everything and doing all the work and minimizing the time spend for me and my husband.

- I addition to time, Barbara saved me a tremendous amount of money on the projects.  Barbara looks for price conscious options for everything, where possible without sacrificing quality.   She bargained and bid on my behalf where that was available.  She passes on her professional discounts, which are very significant in many cases.  On the last project she did for me (full dining table outfitting) she saved me more money on items I purchased than the amount I paid her for the entire project!

I look forward to future projects with Barbara and am thrilled to be able to recommend her to potential clients.

Barbara is a pleasure to work with and the results make every day special.

In 2018, Barbara redesigned my apartment including complete renovations of the kitchen and three bathroom, new wood floors, and re-decorating the living room, bedroom, library and home office.   During the early months of the COVID pandemic, when we were spending most of our time at home, my husband and I were so grateful to have such a beautiful and comfortable space.

An art school graduate, Barbara is comfortable working in many decorative styles.  She is creative and knowledgeable.  She understands all of the pieces that go into executing her ideas including which materials, vendors and contractors to use to best realize the vision.  Barbara understands the power of color and lighting and deploys both to maximize the final results of a project.  No detail was too small for her attention- she found the perfect Steuban bowl (at a great price) to enhance my entryway.  She seamlessly incorporated some of my existing furnishings into her designs.

Throughout the process, Barbara was a consummate professional- intelligent, organized and responsive. She was thoughtful and respectful of my time. In her interactions with neighbors, managing agents, suppliers and contractors she was always kind and polite.  These qualities, combined with her design talent make Barbara the perfect person for jobs of any scale.
